Anouar Brahem is king of the hill this week. I should really get some more of his stuff; it’s wonderful. And Anna Massie just flat out rocks – a wee lass from the north of Scotland who can flatpick with the best of them and play many other instruments too. Yep, she’s one of them. I first saw her at the Celtic Connections festival playing with John Doyle and Tony McManus. I was blown away.
Pete Namlook would have been higher up if I hadn’t changed the tags from Namlook to Pete Namlook. I had a good week of listening to ambient (Global Communication as well). It’s great to work to.
